Dr. Vahid Osman, M.D., Physician
Dr. Vahid Osman, MD, is a board certified psychiatrist who provides psychiatric consultation to youth served by Connections, Inc. Dr. Osman has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance abuse, adult ADD and he specializes in cross-cultural issues. In addition to English, Dr. Osman is fluent in both French and Persian. Dr. Osman received his degree in 1989 from the Medical University of Casablanca in Morocco. He trained in psychiatry at Varrene Jarcy Hospital in France and later in Texas at Austin State Hospital where he performed his residency in psychiatry, earning the position of Chief Resident in his fourth year of residency. Dr. Osman has extensive training in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Dr. Osman served at St. Vincent Hospital as Acting Director for Consult Liaison and Medical Psychiatric Units from 2006 through 2008, where he worked as Staff Psychiatrist from 2001 through 2008. He simultaneously founded Osman Clinic & Associates in 2004 where he has been a pioneer in tele-psychiatry in the state of Indiana. Additionally, from 2007 to 2010, Dr. Osman directed the Crisis and Outreach Program for the State of Indiana, providing critical mental health services to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
